What is Crossfit?

All CrossFit workouts are based on functional movements - core movements of everyday life. CrossFitters are “Generalists” rather than “Specialists”. We incorporate Olympic weightlifting, power lifting, kettlebells, body weight, gymnastics, and endurance exercises including rowing and running. All workouts are scaled to each individuals athletic capabilities and limitations. A new “Workout of the Day” (WOD) is posted everyday and completed within a class environment. Within this class environment, a community is formed and relationships are built.

At Apple Valley CrossFit you’ll have a coach with you during every workout. Our coaches strive to go beyond the movements and connect with our members and develop an awareness of our members’ potential, building trust and creating an atmosphere of success.

While CrossFit challenges the world's fittest, the program is designed for universal scalability, making it the perfect application for any committed individual, regardless of experience. We scale load and intensity; we don’t change the program. The needs of Olympic athletes and our grandparents differ by degree, not kind.
